Safer sex search for term

Sexual contacts in which neither semen nor vaginal fluid or blood are transmitted into the partner’s body.

Sebaceous gland search for term

Skin gland which produces sebum, a fatty substance. Androgens stimulate an increased production of sebum. They are mainly located in the face, neck, back, chest, upper arms and neckline area. Sebaceous glands often open out into the hair follicle, sebum is then brought to the surface along the hair follicle.

Sebum search for term

Oily substance produced in the sebaceous glands which serves to keep skin and hair smooth.

Secretion search for term

The release of products via glands or glandlike cells of the body. Examples: Greasing of skin and hair (sebum), thermoregulation of the body (sweat), moisturizing of mucous membranes and binding of pathogenic organisms (nose secretion). The released product is called “secretion”.
